Reduction in Insect Attachment Caused by Different Nanomaterials Used as Particle Films (Kaolin, Zeolite, Calcium Carbonate)

چکیده

In the present investigation, we compared reduction in attachment ability of southern green stinkbug Nezara viridula (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) to glass induced by three different nanoparticle (kaolin, zeolite, and calcium carbonate) films. Using traction force experiments, behavioral scanning electron microscopy observations, analyzed insect linear speed on untreated treated with particle The nanomaterials strongly reduced mainly owing contamination pads. reduce was for tested films: kaolin zeolite a significantly higher N. safety factor than carbonate. coating surface more uniform compact carbonate film. Moreover, particles can readily adhere devices, whereas appeared less adherent cuticular two aluminosilicate (kaolin zeolite) particles. Only application during locomotion. Nanoparticle films have great potential represent good alternative use insecticides control pentatomid bugs other pest insects.

Calcium Acetate Versus Calcium Carbonate as Oral Phosphate Binder: Preparation and In Vitro Assessment

Calcium acetate is used as an oral phosphate binder to control hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic renal failure. Compared to calcium carbonate, control of hyperphosphatemia can be achieved at lower calcium administration with calcium acetate which likely reduces the risk of hypercalcemia. In this study, various formulations of calcium acetate tablets were prepared and their disint...

The Layered Reduction of Hematite (Iron Oxide) Ore by Non-Coking Coal: The Effect of Calcium Carbonate on Reduction

Due to the abundance of the non-coking coal and limitations as well as the high costs of the natural gas, the present study examined the direct reduction of hematite (iron oxide) ore in the temperature range of 800-1000 °C by the non-coking coal volatiles. Approximately, 74.9% of the total amounts of volatiles and gases exit the coal up to 800°C. The onset temperature to exit volatiles from the...

Encephalopathy caused by lanthanum carbonate

Lanthanum carbonate is a nonaluminum, noncalcium phosphate-binding agent, which is widely used in patients with end-stage chronic kidney disease. Until now, no significant side-effects have been described for the clinical use of lanthanum carbonate, and there are no available clinical data regarding its tissue stores. Here we report the case of a 59-year-old patient who was admitted with confus...

Kinetic control of particle-mediated calcium carbonate crystallization

By changing the temperature, pH, stirring rate, or time for calcium carbonate crystallization, complex shapes of aggregated calcium carbonates formed. Such shapes have earlier been ascribed to specific interactions with specialized additives. Without polymeric additives, aggregates of vaterite transformed more rapidly into calcite aggregates under slow than under fast stirring. With an anionic ...
